A PLACE BEYOND
A disenfranchised taxi driver is tasked with taking a woman to a strange portal to a new dimension as she wishes to become a new version of herself. This chance meeting presents the driver with a different point of view and a frightening opportunity.

A Place Beyond was a semester project that explores the cyclical nature of life, death and rebirth.
The split-screen format was inspired by the “Cinerama” projection technology and the goal was to create a film that utilises three images concurrently to produce a narrative or experimental film.
A Place Beyond was featured in the annual student magazine “Item.” Item is a curated selection of works created by HTW students from various courses.
